Create Voice Media

This topic tells you how to create voice media for use in your services and queues. You create a media item by typing the text that needs to be spoken. CONDUCTOR then converts the text to speech using its Text to Speech (TTS) facility.

Procedure

  1. Open the Configuration panel by clicking the  button in the top right of the CONDUCTOR window.

If  is not visible, switch to View mode or click .

  1. Select Settings to open the Settings sub-panel and then enable the Text to Speech control.
  2. Enter the details in the sub-panel:

Field or Option

Description

Media List

Select the media list (folder) in which to store the media item. Media lists are set up by Content Guru.

Prompt Name

Enter a meaningful name for the media item. This is the name that will appear in options lists when assigning the prompt to queues and services.

Text

Enter the text that you want to convert to audio.

Language

Select the language in which the media item is to be spoken.

Voice

Select the gender and style of voice to use (for example, 'Female Standard A'). To listen to samples of the available sounds, visit https://cloud.google.com/text-to-speech/docs/voices.
  1. Click the Add button.

The media item is now available for including in queues and services.

  1. Close the Settings sub-panel.
